The Chainway R5 Wearable RFID Reader is a compact and lightweight wearable UHF RFID reader designed for hands-free inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, retail, asset tracking, and field service applications. Its wearable design improves worker productivity by allowing RFID data collection while keeping both hands available for operational tasks. The R5 supports multiple wearing options, including wrist strap, ring buckle, magnetic attachment, and lanyard, providing maximum flexibility for different work environments. Compatible with both Android and iOS devices, the R5 connects via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 5.0 and USB Type-C, enabling seamless communication with smartphones, tablets, and enterprise applications. SDK support allows easy integration into existing business workflows and mobile applications. The integrated UHF RFID engine supports global RFID frequency bands including 920–925 MHz, 902–928 MHz, and 865–868 MHz. Delivering a maximum read range of up to 14 meters and a reading speed exceeding 900 tags per second, the R5 is ideal for high-speed inventory counting and asset management tasks. The reader supports Impinj Gen2X technology for enhanced RFID performance and reading accuracy. Built for industrial environments, the R5 features IP65-rated protection, survives drops from 1.5 meters, and is powered by a 2000mAh removable battery that ensures reliable operation throughout the workday.
